Presents are lovely, but not expected at all. The best present is having you there.
This list is entirely optional: a little cheat sheet for anyone who has been scratching their head for a while. If you'd rather go your own way, go for it! Just nothing expensive and no hours of searching.

Books
Picture books or beautiful books on these topics, not necessarily a thick one:
Please no cookbooks or books about food or drinks: I've spent enough years at the stove, it's time for other chapters. 😉

Green plants
I like flowers, but leafy green plants make me even happier, for example a monstera or a palm. Classic bouquets are a bit wasted on me, as I have no sense of smell, and greenery at home makes me happy much longer than a bouquet. Size doesn't matter: one plant is plenty.

Keep it simple
If none of this appeals to you, keep it simple: a gift card from one of these shops is perfect.
For the kids
Dear kids, you're very welcome to bring me a present yourselves: a drawing or something small and funny that you made. I'll be absolutely delighted! I'll collect everything at home and share a picture of my collection later.
